RICHARD ROGERS

Richard Rogers made his name together with Renzo Piano on the revolutionary Centre Pompidou in Paris, which inspired or Paris edition of the GRAVITY bowl.

However, what really left an impression on us were his clean, optimistic domestic interiors.

Here we can see two very different staircases, see how the use of colour, geometry and silhouette allows the staircased to make a clear, uplifting statement without dominating the space, and while remainting ergonomic and practical.

Below we can see how the injection of another dash of yellow, and an unapologetic yet not overblown technical element adds a touch of very human optimism to this pleasant natural environment. It is neither hiding nor dominating, simply duetting with the context. Something to learn from.
